At our clinic, a thyroid ultrasound check is performed by a high-definition ultrasound of the latest type from General Electric LOGIQ P9.
In this particular ultrasound device a software of a new and rapidly evolving method of distinguishing potentially malignant nodules, is integrated , called elastography. This method has been successfully applied to many organs of the body such as the breast or the liver. In recent years, it has been successfully applied to the thyroid, making it possible to avoid unnecessary fine nodule aspiration biopsies, but also to provide additional information on nodules in which the result of the cytological examination is intermediate.
